Description

How about a walk along the beach, with hot sand and coconut trees ,103 is the ultimate sundrenched scent! It is sure to whisk you far away with its accords of tiare flower, hibiscus and white sand. The fragrance opens on top notes of fresh Italian bergamot and green Moroccan neroli. The base of musk and vanilla forms a warm and milky trail that calls to mind the sweetness of monoi and soothing vacation memories

Key Info

What is Sambac jasmine?

Two varieties of jasmine are mainly used in perfumery: Grandiflorum jasmine, which can be found in Grasse and Egypt, and Sambac jasmine, mainly grown in India. Sambac jasmine has a greener scent, while Egyptian jasmine is fruitier and sweeter. Grasse jasmine, meanwhile, is more jammy and petal-like. What distinguishes Sambac jasmine physically is its large number of petals, which greatly outnumber Grandiflorum jasmine’s five.

What is monoi?

Monoi is a fragrant oil obtained by macerating tiare flowers in refined copra oil (from coconut). It is used as a massage oil to nourish skin and hair, as well as a tanning oil to stop skin from drying out in the sun (NB: it is not a substitute for sunscreen). Monoi is a traditional product of the islands of French Polynesia.

Where does neroli come from?

Neroli is the essential oil of the bitter orange flower. It is obtained by steam distillation. Many different extracts can be taken from this tree; bitter orange essential oil is extracted from the fruit, petitgrain essential oil from the branches and twigs, and orange blossom absolute from the flower, extracted using volatile solvents.

Sparkling, the citric top notes combine amazingly well with the fruitiness of the pear. Red fruit facets are also present. The meeting point between the two noble flowers, rose and jasmine, magnifies this blend. The middle note, warmed with a sunny mix and the caramelized fruits gives the fragrance its roundness and its “gourmet notes”. The base brings together the strong vanilla, musk and cedar notes.

Story

Ludovic Bonneton, founder creates a perfumery as it existed in the past and as we dream of it today. Bon Parfumeur.

Ludovic has a colorful olfactory path that he draws line by line. He successively wore Jicky by Guerlain or Vetiver by Carven as a teenager (and almost all vetivers afterwards), Habit Rouge or Pour un Homme by Caron. Then, he enthusiastically discovered the new, more confidential houses. Houses that practice, then, a real return to the roots of perfumery, by putting the fragrance back at the centre of their products. Over time and his travels, Ludovic  plays with his collection of perfumes, takes pleasure in wearing them and works them according to his mood, or even the weather.

He moved to Cali, Colombia. And then, one day, somewhere on the Pacific coast, he lets the Colombian winds talk to him. They blow him away to create a brand that reflects his own vision of fragrances. A personal, innovative and unique brand. To the rhythm of his thousand and one ideas, supported by a very fine team, the founder of Bon Parfumeur gives life to his desires.
