This handmade cushion is a one of a kind piece that has been made by handwoving one of our rugs and up cycling it into this beautiful cushion.
This cushion has a unique, vibrant design on the front with hints of red, pink, green, black, yellow & blue running through it, whilst the back of the cushion is more neutral.

Being repurposed means they are low impact to our environment and with sturdy zippers, are easily unzipped and thrown into the washing machine on a cold wool wash.
By evolving classic Berber traditions, passed down from mother to daughter time immemorial, with alternative materials in lieu of ever-harder-to-get wool. The Boucherouite rug takes take months of dedicated work to produce. Relatively new technique, from mid-20th century It is considered as a memory of the craftswoman’s past through the spontaneous colour and design choices she made as she crafted. These are creative rugs made using recycled textiles, bits of cotton, scraps of wool, sometimes even gold or silver threads, They can be very hardwearing due to their textile base and yet are easily washable.
