An OTT design in bold red and made up of fabric remnants. A specialty of Morocco to make use of odd swatches of fabric and give them a new purpose.  A very colorful piece with a bright red base and tufts of fabric in greens, yellows and black with a macramé style fringe on one end.

Rural Berber communities have adapted to socioeconomic changes

 by evolving classic Berber traditions, passed down from mother to daughter with alternative materials in lieu of ever-harder-to-get wool. The Boucherouite rug takes take months of dedicated work to produce. Relatively new technique from mid-20th century, These  creative rugs are made using recycled textiles, bits of cotton, scraps of wool, sometimes even gold or silver threads. They are made in areas where wool is hard to find. They can be very hardwearing due to their textile base and yet are easily washable,
