Bring a touch of tropical paradise into the home with this imposing banana-like houseplant. Grow in bright, indirect light, avoiding direct sunlight which can scorch the leaves. Prefers to be kept in a warm room between 21-28°C although will tolerate temperatures down to 13°C. During the growing season, keep the soil moist watering when the top 4-5cm of soil has become dry and apply liquid fertiliser every 2-3 weeks. In winter, ease off watering and keep on the dry side. Please note, the leaves of this plant naturally split and tear as part of the ageing process.
